I had a ring. On it were the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars. I made that ring mean more than it could stand, and one day it just disintegrated. It was such a freeing moment. I was no longer trapped in the meaning of that ring, and it freed me from the concept of ring altogether.
Like drifting down a long river. We shoot the rapids, or twirl in eddies, are scooped up by the current, or deposited panting on some new shore. And we carry it with us. All our love and our dreams. We never really lose it.

lyrics
The sun, the moon, the stars,
familiar places that I’ve known.
The sores that turn to scars,
and all the faces that have
turned me down, passed me round.
Diggin’ down the dark road runnin’,
like a river bound to course.
Past the shoreline carved and cunning,
leading from the river’s source.
The words I can’t forget,
the scripted pages of my soul.
And like a marionette,
I play parts in plays,
meant for me, meant to be.
Diggin’ down the dark road runnin’,
like a river bound to course.
Past the shoreline carved and cunning,
leading from the river’s source.
Try as we might, our lives in flight,
moving onward.
And through the day, all we can say,
all we’ve heard.
We look behind, only to find,
moving backward.
Now look ahead, the dream we fed,
has come to life.
As morning is the shoreline,
sunlight is the sea,
Darkness to Light
the waves of light are lapping,
on lids of eyes asleep.
A draught such as this.
Darkness to Light
A Laugh after a kiss.
Something we must do
The Druid Queen,
whose ways are wise,
Something we must do
knows which words
to emphasize.
